Frequently Asked Questions

  • Are those real flowers?
Yes! Every flower and botanical used in our pieces was once alive, thriving in nature's embrace. Each bloom is carefully preserved, celebrating its unique shape, size, and color. This means no two creations are ever alike—each one is a one-of-a-kind treasure, just like the flowers themselves.
  • Are those real butterflies/insects?
Yes! Each butterfly and insect used is a preserved beauty, once fluttering through the world as a delicate living creature. With their fragile wings and unique shapes, no two are alike making them truly exquisite and magical in their own light.
  • Where do you get your butterflies/insects?
Some of the butterflies and insects I use are found during my own journeys through nature, while others are ethically sourced from a trusted supplier. The butterflies in my collection have lived out their full life cycle before being carefully collected and purchased. I deeply honor each butterfly and insect, offering thanks for allowing me to preserve their beauty and share their grace with the world.
  • How do you honor the insects used in your jewelry?
Each insect I work with is treated with the utmost care and respect, as I see it as a privilege to preserve and celebrate their beauty. My process is a quiet act of gratitude—an acknowledgement of the life that has been lived, the delicate role they played in nature, and the chance I have to share their grace anew. Through my work, I aim to honor their existence by giving them a second life, where their beauty can continue to bring wonder and joy to others.
  • Why does my purchase not look exactly like the product photo?
As mentioned, no two flowers or butterflies are ever the same—each one is a unique creation, a reflection of nature's wondrous diversity. The variations in your piece are what make it truly magical, reminding us that beauty lies in the imperfections and the differences we often overlook. If, however, you are truly unsatisfied with your piece of nature, please don't hesitate to reach out. I'll do my best to honor your experience and make things right.
  • What are they preserved in?
Each piece is meticulously hand-dipped or poured using high-quality UV resin, a process that requires precision, patience and dedication. The resin captures the delicate beauty of each botanical piece, ensuring that the ethereal essence is preserved for years to come. However, like all works of art, these creations are vulnerable to damage if not cared for properly. The time and care invested in preserving each one make them not just lasting works of art, but a magical tribute to nature's fleeting beauty—commemorating the grace of every butterfly and bloom.
  • How should I take care of my preservation?
To prolong the life of your preservation, handle each piece with gentle care and respect, as you would a precious moment from nature itself. Clean with a soft cloth or jewelry polish cloth, avoiding harsh chemicals and oils. Never scrub, soak, or submerge your piece underwater. Store your creation in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, to protect it from elements.
  • How long does the preservation process take?
Each preservation is a unique journey that can take anywhere from half an hour to several hours to complete, depending on the piece’s complexity. The process is delicate and intricate, requiring careful attention and patience at every stage. Resin art isn’t simply created—it’s conjured, requiring meticulous craftsmanship, specialized tools, and an investment of time and energy that goes beyond the materials themselves. From the first moment of preservation to the final touch, each step is thoughtfully executed to ensure that the beauty of nature is captured in its most magical form. This transformative process, however, isn’t without its challenges—crafting such delicate pieces requires precision and skill, with materials that are not only costly but sometimes unpredictable in their behavior. The true magic behind these creations unfolds over time, and if you’d like to witness the full process, I invite you to follow along on my social media accounts, where I share the intricate journey of each piece from beginning to end. Creating these pieces is not just a craft—it’s a calling. One that brings nature’s fleeting beauty into a new light, making it live on for you to cherish.
  • How long till I receive my commemorative art?
Some pieces are ready to go, while others are lovingly made to order, allowing us to ensure every creation is as unique and special as the moment it commemorates. Because of the delicate and intricate nature of the process, shipping and delivery times may vary, but on average, you can expect your preservation to arrive within 5 to 10 business days. We truly appreciate your patience as we craft your piece with the care it deserves. After all, beauty takes time, and the wait makes the arrival of your piece all the more exciting, memorable and magical!
  • My order says delivered, but I never received it!?

  • Aren't you contributing to plastic waste by using resin in your creations?
While resin is technically a form of plastic, I choose to use it thoughtfully and intentionally to preserve the natural beauty of flowers, butterfly wings, and other organic elements that might otherwise fade or be lost. Each piece I create is meant to be a long-lasting keepsake, not single-use plastic or disposable waste. My focus is on honoring nature's fleeting beauty by preserving it in durable, wearable form, encouraging people to cherish and connect with the natural world. To further balance my environmental impact, I ensure that all of my packaging is eco-friendly, recyclable, or biodegradable. Your order will arrive in sustainable materials like recyclable paper mailers, cardboard boxes, and natural twine. I am also continually researching and exploring eco-friendly alternatives to traditional resin as they become more available and practical for small businesses like mine.
  • How does your work reflect the balance of life?
My work embodies the delicate balance of life, death, and rebirth—the cycles that exist in nature and within each of us. Through the preservation of butterflies, flowers and other elements, I honor the beauty of these fleeting moments, which are often taken for granted. The contrast between light and dark, life and death, represents the yin and yang that govern existence. Each creation is a reminder that beauty can be found in every stage of the cycle, and that even in moments of transition, there is grace. By using botanicals and butterflies preserved in resin, I aim to capture and honor their inherent energy and essence, allowing them to transcend time. Just as no flower or butterfly is exactly the same, neither are we. Each of us, like every part of nature, carries its own unique beauty and flaws. It is this delicate balance—this celebration of the individuality and imperfection—that I seek to capture in every piece. Embracing this natural diversity reminds us that our differences are not only what make us unique, but also what makes us beautifully human.
